Requirements & Specifications

Flights & Accommodation

Must be provided by the Client for all the days of the event. In cases of international flights the client must purchase the flights OR pay the full flight amount on an agreed date before the event.

Rain and Gale Force Winds

The EMPRESS performers cannot perform in rain or gale force winds. EMPRESS will be at the event (unless cancelled) and wait to be rescheduled (by negotiation) on the day of performance. If there is no possibility of performance (and those appearances are cancelled) EMPRESS will invoice for 100% of the total fee.

Dressing Rooms

A dressing room must be supplied as close to the performance area as possible. Whilst this room does not have to be high, it must be private and have good access to performance site. The change room also need access to toilets and water and must be secure at all times.

Food

If the performance times are over a 3 hour period or more, food and drinks must be supplied for the performers.

Height Restrictions

Each of the EMPRESS stilt characters measures approx 3.5 - 4 meters in total height. Please take this into account when booking.

Surface Requirements

The EMPRESS Stiltdancers cannot perform on wet, slippery, muddy or deep sandy surfaces. Please also inform the performers before the performance if there will be confetti or smoke machines in operation near the performance area.

Terms of Payment

An invoice for the agreed amount will be made out to the Clientafter the performance date. For international bookings 30% of the total fee must be paid in advance of flying.
The invoice must be paid within 21 days from the date of the invoice.
The payment can be made as a direct deposit to EMPRESS STILTDANCE LTD after the event.

* In New Zealand EMPRESS STILTDANCE is GST registered and will add GST onto the total fee.

Intellectual Property

EMPRESS STILTDANCE LTD. owns the intellectual property of all the costume images taken of the performances. The Client may use photographs of EMPRESS for future publicity for their event only if they print the name of EMPRESS STILTDANCE with all images used.

EMPRESS STILTDANCE must also be given access to copies of all images taken.
